Hotel Ascot Opera - 3 Star Hotel In Paris

As the name suggests, the Hotel Ascot Opera is located in the heart of the Opera area very close to the Opera Garnier and is a three star hotel situated in a quiet location in the 2nd Arrondissement of Paris.

This reasonably small Paris hotel is housed within a 19th century townhouse that was once owned by the famous composer Offenbach and even today you can still see the original beams that provide the hotel with its own unique charm for all to enjoy.

From the Hotel Ascot Opera you will be within walking distance of numerous places to visit such the famous Louvre museum that is home to the Mona Lisa painting, the Place de la Concorde with the oldest monument in Paris called the Luxor Obelisk, the Tuileries gardens, the River Seine where you can take a cruise on the Bateau Mouches or travel the Batobus to other parts of the city plus if you like shopping then you can easily reach famous department stores like Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.

The Hotel Facilities

You will be pleased to know that there is a lift so that you do not have to drag your luggage up lots of flights of stairs and there is a luggage room for keeping your bags safe in case you arrive early or need to leave late, plus families are welcome, as are your beloved pets.

The reception is completely done in wood for a warm comfortable feeling and open 24 hours a day with friendly and helpful staff that are truly multi-lingual.  Languages spoken at the Hotel Ascot Opera include Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Italian and Spanish and they are more than willing to help you by arranging excursions, booking tickets for shows, making reservations at the many Paris restaurants and much more.

There is a laundry service, fax and photocopier available along, with WiFi internet access, although there is a charge for any of these services, plus if you are arriving by your own means of transport, then there is a secure guarded car park very near to the hotel.

For a good start to the day, you can enjoy the old fashioned d?cor of the breakfast room where the continental breakfast is served from 7am through to 11am, however, you can request that this be served to your room if you prefer and this is at no extra charge.

There is a comfortable yet open and airy lounge area with a bar, which is a great place to meet up with friends or relax at the end of a hectic day of sight seeing around Paris.

The staff at the Hotel Ascot Opera are also willing to organise that little something extra if requested, such as flowers or champagne in the room upon your arrival to celebrate a special occasion. Whatever your needs, they will try and accommodate you.

There are 36 hotel rooms that all have soundproofing and air conditioning and are decorated in delicate pastel shades with attractive furniture and matching drapes for a tranquil, relaxing stay, plus some of the rooms have exposed beams or even a four poster bed for a more romantic setting.

Each room comes equipped with an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or shower and complete with hair drier, a flat screen TV with Satellite TV, direct dial telephone, personal safe and WiFi internet access.

The Hotel Ascot Opera also provides a mini bar along with snacks as well.

Rates as of 2010: A Single room is €130, a Double room is from €150 and a Triple hotel room is from €180.  There is also a Quadruple of family room available for a cost of €210.
