Hotel Bassano - 4 Star Hotel In Paris

The recently renovated four star Hotel Bassano has very contemporary styling and housed within an early 20th century building on a quiet street in the 16th Arrondissement of Paris, it is also known as a boutique hotel.

The decor of this Paris hotel has been done in a way as to bring the typical Paris atmosphere inside with shades of blue to match the sky, grey to depict the traditional slate roofs and beige to represent the facades, but being very contemporary they also utilise lots of wood and metal in a deco style.

The Hotel Bassano is unusual, yet evokes a warm and intimate atmosphere and is a great place to stay if you are thinking of taking a stroll to some of the popular Paris tourist attractions such as the Avenue des Champs Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe with its eternal flame, the River Seine and of course the incredible Eiffel Tower.

The Hotel Facilities

There is a 24 hour reception and a concierge service to cater for all your needs such as booking tickets for shows, making reservations at the many Paris restaurants, organising tours and airport transfers, etc.

A porter and luggage service with a luggage room are available along with a laundry and dry cleaning service, plus there is parking available.

There is a small conference room that you can hire for business lunches, meetings, etc and there is also free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Breakfast at the Hotel Bassano is a delightful experience as it is served in a magnificent vaulted dining room where you can opt for a Continental breakfast or a far more complete buffet breakfast that includes the continental selections plus fruit salad, stewed fruit and hot selections such as eggs, bacon, sausages, turkey and chicken fillets, pancakes, etc.  However, if you prefer the peace and tranquillity of your hotel room, then you can also opt for room service for both the Continental or Buffet breakfast.

At the end of a long day sight seeing you can enjoy a drink at the bar or relax in the lounge, which is a tranquil setting with a wall of water that greets you as you enter.

Hotel Room Facilities

Each of the ultra modern and luxurious rooms at the Hotel Bassano are air conditioned and double glazed and have custom built headboards and dressing rooms, light wood floors along with fabric that are subtly blended to provide a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel rooms come with a TV and Satellite TV with International channels in American, Arabic, Chinese, English, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish languages available.  They also have a mini bar, personal safe and free WiFi internet access, plus there are two interconnecting rooms available for families.

Now this is unusual for most hotels in Paris, or in Europe for that matter, but each room also has tea and coffee making facilities, for that little extra luxury we would normally take for granted in the UK.

The Hotel Bassano also has a spacious Suite on the top floor that has a bedroom plus separate lounge and office that can accommodate up to five people and is like home from home.

Rates as of 2010: A Single room is from €175, a Standard Double is from €215, a Superior or a Triple room is from €255 and the Suite is from €350.

The Continental breakfast is €15 per person and the Buffet breakfast is €19 per person, however, if you opt for these served to your hotel room then there is an additional charge and to give you an idea the buffet breakfast is €24.  But if travelling with children under the age of 12, then the cost of their breakfast is half price if you decide to eat in the vaulted dining room.
