| | But if you like the idea of experiencing French wines then the
        delicatessen Les
Papilles could be the answer and perhaps even enjoy a lunch or evening meal there at
the same time, yet one of the most famous Paris restaurants is
also nearby to the Hotel Austerlitz Jardin des Plantes, which is called the Tour d'Argent
with their speciality meal of Canard au sang,
yet if a great view with your dinner is you want, then Le Ciel de Paris
is the answer as it is the highest restaurant in Europe.
 The Hotel Facilities

You will be pleased to know that your beloved pets are allowed to accompany you for an
additional charge and children are also very welcome, however, we would like to point out
that this hotel is not suitable for the disabled as even the breakfast room is on the
        first floor.

Talking of the breakfast room, this will provide you with a cheery start to the day with
its bright yellow walls and posters that recall the railway as it used to be, and the
Hotel Austerlitz Jardin des Plantes provides a nice selection for the buffet breakfast
that's available from 6.30am to 10.30am each day.

There is a 24 hour reception and a free luggage storage service for those of you that do
not wish to drag your suitcases around with you if you arrive in Paris early or are
leaving late in the day, plus you can pay an additional charge to have a safe for extra
        security.

So that you can keep in touch with family and colleagues back home there is free and
unlimited WiFi internet access, plus in addition there are also payable high speed
        internet points.

Even though the hotel does not have a bar, there are drinks dispensers available so that
you can sit and relax with either a hot or cold drink and maybe enjoy reading one of the
        newspapers that are also available.

 Hotel Room Facilities

There are a total of 51 rooms at the Hotel Austerlitz Jardin des Plantes and 44 of these
have been renovated to include air conditioning and other modern facilities such as a flat
screen LCD TV fitted on the wall.

Each room has an en-suite bathroom complete with hairdryer plus complementary welcome
products and the renovated rooms now have duvets rather than the traditional sheets and
        bedspreads.

There are different categories of hotel rooms available from the Cosy, which as the name
suggests is a very small room, then Comfort through to the four Privilege Plus rooms
available, which are the largest and have a flat screen TV up 32 inches instead of up to
26 inches, plus all the hotel rooms have Satellite TV, a direct dial telephone and of
course the free WiFi internet access.

Now, something that is very unusual for hotels in Europe and especially 2 star hotels in Paris
and that is the fact that you get a courtesy tray for making tea and coffee along with a
half bottle of spring water on arrival.

Rates as of 2010: A Comfort room is from 185, a Privilege room is from 205 and
