Hotel Montpensier - 2 Star Hotel In Paris

The Hotel Montpensier is a two star hotel located in the 1st Arrondissement and is a budget hotel for those of you that have a limited amount to spend on accommodation in this expensive city.

Being close to the Louvre museum and the Tuleries gardens along with the Place de la Concorde with the oldest Paris monument called the Luxor Obelisk, this is an ideal base for those that want to be out and about exploring the area, but within walking distance you could also be at the River Seine, the oldest palace that became a prison called La Conciergerie, the Saint Chapelle and the fabulous architecture of Notre Dame Cathedral.

The Hotel Facilities

This Paris hotel has a lovely light wood reception with staff that are willing to help you get the most out of your time in Paris, plus there is a comfortable and airy lounge area in case you want to relax before going to your room or visiting some of the tourist attractions.

The Hotel Montpensier also provides a Continental breakfast of a morning.

Hotel Room Facilities

There are a total of 43 rooms, yet only 35 of these have en-suite facilities as the others are shared, so do be careful what you choose when you book, as even though some rooms have a toilet and basin, the shower is still outside the room and shared.

All of the rooms are very basic and most are quite small, yet some do have a desk and chair and some can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Rates as of 2010: The cheapest is a single room with shared facilities and is from €69.  A Double room with bath is from €100 and the continental breakfast is €9 per person.
