Disneyland Paris Resort France

Disneyland Paris

We are sure that you have heard of Disneyland Paris and if you want to take your children to a place they will never forget, but cannot manage to get to America, then this is the place to go.

There are two different theme parks within the resort, which are the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park.

Disneyland Paris Resort France

A modified version of the park model that began as Disneyland in California, the park covers 566,560 m? and consists of five areas known as 'lands' which each represent a theme or time period.

The Disneyland Park has been in operation 365 days per year since the complex opened and as of 2007 the park map lists 48 different attractions.

Walt Disney Studios Park

The Walt Disney Studios Park has been open since March 2002.

It is Disney's second theme park based upon film and show business, which has followed Walt Disney World's Disney-MGM Studios Park.

Entertainment

The entertainment district of Disney Village contains a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops that stay open even after the parks close.

There are also 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses for those that are not so keen on the rides and want to keep their feet firmly on the ground!

Hotels

There are 7 Disneyland Paris Resort hotels on the complex.

The Disneyland Hotel is marketed as the most prestigious hotel on property and is located over the entrance of the Disneyland Park.

Disney's Hotel New York, Disney's Newport Bay Club and Disney's Sequoia Lodge surround a body of water known as Lake Disney.

Disney's Hotel Cheyenne and Disney's Hotel Santa Fe are located near to Lake Disney and the Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch is located in a woodland area outside the resort perimeter.

There are also 6 associated hotels at Disneyland Paris Resort, which are not managed by Euro Disney, but they do provide free shuttle buses to the parks.

These are Vienna International Dream Castle Hotel, Kyriad Hotel, Marriott's Village d'lle-de-France, a Holiday Inn Hotel, Radisson SAS Hotel and MyTravel's Explorers Hotel.

Transport

A railway station with connection to the suburban RER network and the TGV high-speed rail network is located between the theme parks and Disney Village.

There are daily services from London on the Eurostar and a new TGV line, LGV Est, has begun a service between Paris and Strasbourg.

There are also free shuttle buses, which provide transport to all the Disney hotels and associated hotels, except Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch hotel.
