Hotel Balzac - 4 Star Hotel In Paris

The Hotel Balzac is a four star hotel that is housed within a townhouse style building that was originally built for the director of the Paris Opera and it was also once a home to the French writer Honore de Balzac, and hence the name of the hotel.

Also known as a boutique hotel, over the years it has undergone a multi-million pound extensive refurbishment programm even though it still retains original elegant features, the interior has been redesigned to incorporate modern and contemporary touches with vibrant tones for an unusual yet pleasing effect, although the spirit of Blazac remains through the collections of antique books, lithographs and scenes from his work.

Being situated in the 8th Arrondissement right next to the Avenue des Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel Balzac is in a great location for visiting numerous places like the Place de la Concorde, experiencing the many different Paris restaurants such as Taillevent, spending an evening at Le Lido cabaret venue, visiting boutiques and famous shops like Fauchon, or just enjoying the Parisian way of life.

Hotel Balzac - 4 Star Hotel In Paris

The Hotel Facilities

This luxury 4 star Paris hotel has all the main things you would expect such as a 24 hour reception and room service, along with the renowned Golden Keys concierge service to make your stay a most memorable experience.

Even though the Hotel Balzac is located in the centre of Paris, quite surprisingly there is actually on site secure parking available, so you can just pull up at the hotel hop out, let the porter take your luggage, hand over the keys and your car will be parked for you by the hotel chauffeur.  Now that is what you call service from the minute you arrive!  However, you do have to make sure you book a space when making your reservation and this is a cost of €25 per day, which is in fact very good value.

The dining room and drawing room areas of this hotel make up the elegant and intimate feel with lots natural light coming in from the glass ceiling atrium with a beautiful hanging garden as a backdrop, which really make you feel like the outside is coming in.

The long granite bar with high stools, dark velvet upholstery and soft lighting make this area an intimate and elegant place along with the lounge area that has lovely comfortable sofas where you can just relax, meet up with friends or perhaps enjoy a cocktail.

The Hotel Balzac has an award winning gourmet restaurant called the Pierre Gagnaire where you can experience some unusual and innovative dishes by a very talented chef and enjoy lunch, dinner or a tasting menu, but this is a very popular place to eat out in Paris, so even if you are staying at the hotel, you would need to make a dinner reservation.

However, if more traditional and classic French cuisine in a traditional Art deco style setting with its exquisite walnut panelling, is more what you had in mind for a truly romantic dining experience, then a visit across the road to the sister hotel called the Hotel de Vigny and a meal at Le Baretto, whether it be for lunch or dinner has got to be on your list of things to do.

There are also three VIP conference rooms available for private dinners, business lunches, boardroom meetings, etc that also have state of the art technology such as plasma screens, and each meeting room can accommodate up to a maximum of 10 people.

Hotel Room Facilities

There are a total of 57 rooms and 13 Suites available at the Hotel Balzac and any of the rooms from the third floor up have a view of the Eiffel Tower.

The d?cor utilises refined colour combinations, subtle tones and soft lighting along with luxurious materials and state of the art technology to make each hotel room a place of comfort and relaxation.

Each hotel room has a flat screen LCD TV with Cable TV, a DVD player, internet access, mini bar and personal safe along with a marble bathroom.

The Superior rooms at the Hotel Balzac have a seating area, whereas the Deluxe rooms are larger and also have a larger seating area and a separate bath and shower.

The Junior Suites have a beautiful oak floored entrance and a separate sitting room, plus a dressing room and welcome products are also provided, yet the Corner Suites are even larger and having a dining area as well.

The Presidential Suite is like being at home with a large lounge and dining room completely separate to the bedroom and has a vast amount of space for relaxation, but the real luxury comes with the Royal Suite that is around 90 metres squared and also features a terrace with absolutely stunning views of the Eiffel Tower.

Yet if you want the ultimate in luxury and wish to splash out then opting for the Rooftop Penthouse is the perfect answer.  It means that you get the whole top floor of the Hotel Balzac to yourself and your companions, which is basically the Royal Suite and the Presidential Suite combined, for a truly unforgettable experience.
